This past Thursday, the Friends of Chatham partnered with the National Park Service to celebrate the incredible volunteers whose time, talent, and dedication help keep Chatham and our other park sites thriving.

At Chatham, volunteers play an especially important role in caring for the historic gardens and grounds. Throughout the seasons, they can be found planting, weeding, mulching, clearing brush, tending flower beds, and preparing the gardens for the thousands of visitors who come to experience this special place each year. Volunteers also support preservation projects, special events, educational efforts, and so much more throughout the park.

The partnership between the Friends of Chatham, the National Park Service, and our dedicated community of volunteers is an important part of preserving Chatham and sharing its history with future generations.

To all of the volunteers who give so generously of their time: THANK YOU! Your hard work, dedication, and love for these historic places truly make a difference. We are grateful for everything you do!
